Snake River Newfies was created out of the love and adoration of the Newfoundland Breed. Our family purchased our Landseer newfie, Sophie, in the summer of 2007. We had been searching high and low for a breed of dog that suited our family. We set our sights very high, looking for many different attributes that suited the needs of our family. First and foremost, we wanted a dog that loved children. We certainly found that in Sophie. She is a beautiful dog whom is loyal, loving, intelligent, playful, protective, but not aggressive, and so much more. Newfies are not that common in our area, so as a family we decided to breed her because we wanted everyone to have the opportunity to own a newfie. Our dogs are a part of our family. We hope that we can share the same amazing experience that we have with our newfies, with those who choose to look into adopting one of our puppies.
